The Eye

I've come to believe that learning to see, that is to say nuanced observation, is essential before putting any lines down.

What's observed is stored by the memory, and later used by the imagination. In this way, more observation gives the imagination more resources.

Drawing from the imagination relies heavily on what's been seen by the eye.
